Radiogenomics of clear‑cell renal cell carcinoma: Associations between CT imaging features and mutations
CT imaging features can distinguish specific genetic mutations in clear‑cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).
In this preliminary radiogenomics study, associations were observed between specific CT imaging features and underlying mutations in clear‑cell renal cell carcinoma, suggesting that radiologic phenotypes may reflect the tumor’s genomic profile. Further investigation and validation are warranted.
Identification of image‑genomic correlations may allow non‑invasive prediction of tumor genotype, aiding in selecting appropriate targeted therapies and in risk stratification, thereby potentially improving patient outcomes.
