Rovalpituzumab Tesirine (Rova‑T) Achieves 39% Overall Response in Pretreated Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients with High DLL3 Expression
Rovalpituzumab tesirine achieved a 39 % overall response rate in pretreated small cell lung cancer patients identified with high expression of DLL3.
In a multicenter, open‑label Phase 1a/1b study of 74 patients with recurrent or refractory small cell lung cancer (SCLC) expressing high levels of DLL3, the antibody‑drug conjugate rovalpituzumab tesirine (Rova‑T) achieved a confirmed overall response rate of 39 % and a clinical benefit rate of 89 %. One‑year overall survival was 32 %.
These findings suggest that targeting DLL3 with Rovalpituzumab Tesirine may provide a therapeutic option for patients with SCLC who have limited alternatives and who are refractory to standard chemotherapy, potentially improving survival in this aggressive disease.
