EORTC and Immunocore Announce Enrolment of First Patient onto the Only Active Phase 3 Adjuvant Trial in Uveal Melanoma
The first patient has been randomised into the only active Phase 3 adjuvant trial (ATOM) evaluating tebentafusp versus observation for high‑risk uveal melanoma.
EORTC and Immunocore have announced that the first patient has been randomised into the only active Phase 3 adjuvant trial (ATOM) for uveal melanoma. The study will compare tebentafusp, a T‑cell receptor bispecific molecule targeting HLA‑A*02:01‑positive tumour cells, against observation in patients at high risk of relapse after definitive primary treatment.
Uveal melanoma is a rare malignancy with a high risk of metastatic relapse and no established adjuvant therapy. Demonstrating that tebentafusp can reduce relapse risk in patients who have undergone primary treatment would fill a critical unmet need and potentially change standard care in this population.
