Nivolumab Improves Survival in Phase III Head and Neck Cancer Study

Rákkutatás · Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

Nivolumab has improved overall survival versus investigator's choice of therapy for patients with platinum‑refractory squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck in the phase III CheckMate‑141 trial.

In the phase III CheckMate‑141 trial, nivolumab (Opdivo) significantly improved overall survival versus investigator‑choice therapies (cetuximab, methotrexate, or docetaxel) in patients with platinum‑refractory squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.

The findings support nivolumab as a new therapeutic option for a disease with high unmet need and limited treatment alternatives, potentially extending patient survival.
