SEVABERTINIB – Application in Therapy and Current Clinical Research

Cancer research · NSCLC · ERBB2

The Phase 3 trial is a randomised, controlled, interventional study evaluating the efficacy and safety of SEVABERTINIB versus standard of care in participants with advanced non‑small cell lung cancer harbouring HER2 (ERBB2) mutations.

SEVABERTINIB is an oral TKI targeting HER2 (ERBB2) mutations in solid tumours, including advanced non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies are evaluating its efficacy and safety, with the Phase 3 study comparing SEVABERTINIB to standard chemotherapy/immune‑checkpoint therapy in advanced HER2‑mutated NSCLC.

HER2‑mutated NSCLC represents a distinct oncogenic driver with limited approved therapies; thus, SEVABERTINIB offers a potential targeted treatment option where current standard therapies have modest response rates.
