Dual‑Metal Organic Framework Nanozyme for Synergistic Photothermal‑Chemodynamic Therapy: Copper‑Molybdenum Synergism in Gastric Cancer Treatment
CMP achieves potent antitumor efficacy through photothermal‑enhanced Fenton‑like reactions, depleting glutathione and amplifying ROS, thereby suppressing gastric cancer in vivo with minimal systemic toxicity.
A copper‑molybdenum bimetallic organic framework nanozyme (CMP) was synthesized and evaluated for combined photothermal‑chemodynamic therapy (PTT‑CDT) in gastric cancer. CMP displayed a photothermal conversion efficiency of 29.4 % at 808 nm, induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation in vitro, and achieved significant tumor growth inhibition in NCI‑N87 xenograft mice without observable hematotoxicity. Histopathology confirmed extensive tumor necrosis while preserving liver, spleen, kidney, and heart architecture.
It demonstrates a low‑toxicity, nanoplatform‑based approach that integrates both photothermal and chemodynamic mechanisms, offering a promising alternative for precision gastric cancer therapy.
