A Study of Dabrafenib and/or Trametinib in Multiple Myeloma
Dabrafenib and Trametinib have been used in the treatment for other cancers in other research studies and information from those studies suggest that these agents may help kill multiple myeloma cells.
This research study is a Phase 1, open‑label pilot trial evaluating the safety and preliminary efficacy of the BRAF inhibitor dabrafenib, the MEK inhibitor trametinib, and their combination in patients with relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma.
Multiple myeloma patients who harbor activating mutations in BRAF, KRAS, or NRAS may drive oncogenic MAPK/ERK signaling; inhibiting these mutated proteins could block tumor growth and improve outcomes, yet clinical evidence in this patient population is limited.
