Treatment of Canine Metastatic Osteosarcoma with Combined Tumor Microenvironment Modification and Allogeneic Vaccination
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of a 3‑drug oral immunomodulatory regimen (toceranib, losartan, and ladarixin) combined with an osteosarcoma‑specific vaccine in dogs with metastatic osteosarcoma to the lungs after amputation and chemotherapy.
This clinical trial aims to assess whether a combination of three oral immunomodulators—toceranib, losartan, and ladarixin—together with an allogeneic osteosarcoma vaccine can improve tumor response and extend survival in dogs whose metastatic osteosarcoma has spread to the lungs following amputation and chemotherapy.
Metastatic osteosarcoma is highly lethal in canines with few effective therapies. A regimen that immunologically targets tumor microenvironment and mounts a vaccine‑driven anti‑tumor response could increase response rates and prolong survival, offering a potentially transformative treatment option.
