Stomach Cancer Clinical Trials at UCSF
UCSF is conducting a broad range of early‑phase clinical trials for patients with stomach (gastric) cancer, including novel targeted therapies, immunotherapies, CAR‑T cell approaches, and supportive care models.
The UCSF Stomach Cancer Clinical Trials page lists 14 active studies and 5 currently recruiting trials. The studies encompass various phases (I‑III), therapeutic modalities (targeted agents, checkpoint inhibitors, CAR‑T cells, antibody‑drug conjugates), and supportive care interventions. Participants include adults with advanced, metastatic or locally advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancers, as well as other solid tumors, and trials are conducted either at UCSF or in multiple centers nationwide.
Effective new treatments for stomach cancer are urgently needed because the disease often presents at an advanced stage, limits therapeutic options, and carries a high mortality rate. These trials aim to identify safer, more efficacious therapies and improve patients’ quality of life.
