This review surveys current metabolomic technologies, highlights their application in clinical diagnostics and prognostics, and discusses how metabolic signatures may guide personalized therapeutic decisions in oncology.
Identifying metabolic fingerprints enables earlier cancer detection, informs patient‑specific treatment selection, and may reveal novel metabolic vulnerabilities that can be targeted therapeutically, thereby improving outcomes and reducing toxicity.
