ANHL1931: Nivolumab and Chemoimmunotherapy for Lymphoma
Nivolumab added to standard chemoimmunotherapy improves outcomes in newly diagnosed Primary Mediastinal B‑cell Lymphoma (PMBCL).
ANHL1931 is a randomized phase 3 trial evaluating nivolumab combined with chemoimmunotherapy versus chemoimmunotherapy alone in patients aged ≥2 years with newly diagnosed Primary Mediastinal B‑cell Lymphoma (PMBCL). Patients were randomized to receive either DA‑EPOCH‑R or R‑CHOP, each with or without nivolumab, followed by up to 6 cycles of treatment. The study collects blood, bone marrow, and cerebrospinal fluid specimens and performs imaging to assess response and identify biomarkers. The primary goal is to determine whether nivolumab addition improves treatment efficacy in PMBCL.
Adding the immune checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab to established chemoimmunotherapy regimens may enhance anti‑tumor responses in PMBCL, potentially improving cure rates and reducing relapse in this young patient population.
