Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare skin cancer with aggressive behaviour. In Queensland, we report incidence trends, survival outcomes, and treatment patterns for patients diagnosed with MCC between 2012 and 2021. The data show that the age‑standardised incidence rate remained stable, with a 5‑year MCC‑specific survival of 61% between 2012‑2016 and 69% between 2017‑2021, reflecting improvements in management, including greater use of immunotherapy. The study highlights the importance of early detection and appropriate treatment of this aggressive skin cancer.
