The study identified that pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells are highly sensitive to inhibition of transcriptional cyclin‑dependent kinases (CDK9, CDK11, CDK12, CDK13), leading to impaired RNA production and reduced proliferation, pointing to these kinases as potential therapeutic targets.
Targeting essential transcriptional regulators may provide a novel therapeutic avenue for a cancer with poor survival rates.
