FDA approved in 2019, TTFields, when combined with platinum‑based chemotherapy and pemetrexed, increases overall survival, with the STELLAR trial reporting 1‑year survival of 62 % and 2‑year survival of 42 %. Continuous use of the Optune Lua device allows patients to maintain daily activities while undergoing treatment.
