AALL2331 Clinical Trial for Pediatric T‑Cell Blood Cancers
AALL2331 is a Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating whether adding daratumumab to standard chemotherapy can reduce relapse risk and long‑term side effects for pediatric T‑cell blood cancers.
A new Children’s Oncology Group (COG) phase 3 trial (AALL2331) will enroll newly diagnosed children with T‑cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‑ALL) or T‑cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T‑LL). The study evaluates whether adding the targeted monoclonal antibody daratumumab to standard chemotherapy reduces relapse risk and long‑term treatment toxicity, while examining the feasibility of omitting preventive brain radiation in favor of intensified chemotherapy.
If successful, the trial could establish a new treatment approach that lowers relapse risk, improves survival, and reduces the lifelong impact of therapy, thereby enhancing quality of life for affected children.
