Standard of care (Stupp protocol, since 2005): Maximal safe resection → concurrent radiation + temozolomide → adjuvant temozolomide.
Clinical trials are critical for patients with glioblastoma, especially for those with MGMT‑unmethylated tumors where standard temozolomide has limited benefit. New studies, such as those adding tumor treating fields (TTFields) or novel systemic agents, offer potential improvements in overall survival and symptom control.
