New perspective on epigenetic modification and immunotherapy in endometrial cancer
Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is a heterogeneous gynecological malignancy. Aberrant DNA methylation, histone modifications and other epigenetic dysregulations drive the initiation, progression, immune evasion, and therapeutic resistance of EC, and emerging epigenetic‑targeted therapies combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors are being investigated to improve outcomes in advanced or recurrent disease.
These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the role of epigenetic alterations in endometrial cancer and highlight the potential of combining epigenetic drugs with immunotherapy in clinical practice.
