This noninferiority randomized clinical trial evaluated whether sequential chemoradiotherapy (SCRT; induction chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy alone and then adjuvant chemotherapy) is noninferior to induction chemotherapy plus concurrent chemoradiotherapy (IC + CCRT) for locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (LA‑NPC). The primary endpoint was 3‑year failure‑free survival (FFS); secondary endpoints included overall survival, locoregional FFS, distant FFS, response rate, and toxic effects.
