Study on Dostarlimab and Niraparib for Patients with Metastatic or Recurrent Endometrial or Ovarian Carcinosarcoma

Rákkutatás · Endometrial cancer

The study is investigating treatment options for patients with a specific and aggressive form of cancer called carcinosarcoma that affects either the uterus or ovaries and has either spread to other parts of the body or returned after previous treatment.

Carcinosarcoma is a rare and aggressive subtype of uterine or ovarian cancer that often relapses or metastasises after standard chemotherapy, leading to poor survival outcomes. This trial evaluates whether combining a PD‑1 or PD‑L1 inhibitor (dostarlimab) with a PARP inhibitor (niraparib) can improve progression‑free survival and overall survival, potentially offering a new therapeutic strategy for this hard‑to‑treat population.
