TRAIT: Radioactive Iodine in Differentiated Thyroid Cancer

Rákkutatás · Thyroid cancer · ALK · BRAF

Targeted therapy may increase radioactive iodine uptake in metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer.

This study investigates whether targeted therapy can enhance the uptake of radioactive iodine in patients with metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) spread to the lungs. Patients receive targeted therapy based on specific genetic alterations and undergo whole‑body scans before and after therapy to compare iodine uptake.

Understanding the effect of targeted therapy on iodine uptake could improve treatment planning and efficacy of radioactive iodine therapy for metastatic DTC.
