What treatments are available for KRAS G12A mutation in lung cancer?
In non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring a KRAS G12A mutation, there are currently no approved therapies specifically targeted to the G12A variant or standard targeted agents (specific KRAS inhibitors available on the market are largely restricted to the G12C mutation). In clinical practice, patient management follows general NSCLC protocols, or is possible on an investigational basis within clinical trials. In trial registries, there are currently two active, early-phase trials that may enroll lung cancer patients harboring a KRAS G12A mutation: NCT05786924 (a Phase 1/2 study evaluating the investigational agent S241656 in advanced/metastatic NSCLC and other solid tumors, recruiting) and NCT06917079 (a Phase 1 study with the pan-KRAS inhibitor BBO-11818 in solid tumors, recruiting). Trial sites available in a given country (e.g., in Hungary) and precise eligibility details are not available in the current database results.
